How to choose Covering for your Greenhouses

Selection of the type of covering material to use on new construction or on renovation projects requires many practical considerations. The flexible and forming properties of the film simplify the covering process compared to rigid plastics or poly film. The attachment procedures for plastic film range from the simplicity of wooden nailer strips to the reusable aluminum extrusion inter-locking strips. The need for replacing the film every three to four years requires that the recovering process be rapid and easy. A means of recycling or disposing of spent film must also be considered.
PE film
Transparency is bit low, but it transmits wider range of U-red so that insulation effect is lower. Most popular for its prices and easily recyclable (Environment friendly)
EVA film
Developed to compensate the weak points of PE film, laminated with PE and PVA. It has higher insulation effect, condensation flows (Non-drip) and more durable in cold weather.
PVC film

Fiberglass

Our fiberglass roll provide excellent transmission of light and solar energy. They with stand heavy snow and wind and are resistant to breakage, hazing, sagging and impacts from hail or vandals. is rated at about 5 oz. thick, about the thickness of a quarter. It has a warranty from the manufacture of 10 years, but if taken care of meaning cleaned annually, use of a shade cover during the sunnier, warmer months, maybe you can probably push between 10-15 years out of it.

Easy to Use: Fill the sterilizer to the top of the box. Plug the sterilizer cord into your electrical outlet. Set the thermostat to the correct sterilizing temperature. The indicator light will glow until the batch is done. When the indicator light turns off, leave the soil in the sterilizer for another 15 minutes. Pick the sterilizer up and the soil will drop through the open bottom. Standard units have aluminized steel exterior and interior (ss). Custom units have aluminized tubes (sst).

STEAM SOIL STERILIZER

The Steam ‘N Air Soil Sterilization System is a new innovation, The Steam ‘N Air is basically the combination of three separate portable components — the SG10 Steam Generator, the AB28 Aeration Blower, and the optional Tow ‘N Dump Aeration Cart. Once attached together, they take on the job of sterilizing potting soil and other materials.Since these are components, the customer has the option to buy any combination of components to meet their specific needs. This allows to design of a unique system that is the most profitable and affordable for their specific application.In the sterilization steam cycle, the SG10 raises the temperature of 2 cubic yards of material to 170ºF for 2 1/2 hours. The AB28 Aeration Blower uses air force to circulate the heated air through up to 28” of material when the material is placed in an aeration bin or cart. In the cool down cycle, the AB28 Blower will dry the material to the moisture saturation level that existed prior to the steam cycle.
